Water Damage not only does water damage look horrible in a house but it also is evidence that major repair will be needed. Water damage also indicates that past issues have occurred. Mold Mold could quite possibly be one of the scariest items to find in a house during inspections. Besides the fact that mold is often dangerous if it's the dangerous kind, it also comes with a stigma and could put home buyers in a stressful situation. While there are many other items that can come up during an inspection these are the most common and often the most expensive. It is very important to have peace of mind when getting into your new home. Changing the exterior locks is one of those things you can do. Even if the former home owner was pleasant to you during the process; New locks can provide safety and a restful mind. 2. Locate the shutoff valves it is very important to locate the shut off valve's for the plumbing in the home. In the event that something should overflow or something should happen you should know how to shut off the water source fast. The most common shut off's are usually for sinks underneath in the cupboard. 3. Steam clean the carpets it makes a lot of sense to have a professional come out to steam clean the carpet in the home or power clean any hard floor surfaces. Because many germs can exist, it makes sense to have this done before you move your items in. These are the top three things you should do when getting keys to your new home. |
